Heart rhythm monitoring (Holter and HeartBug)

Our clinic offers two heart rhythm monitoring services. The Holter monitor is a portable ECG device which records the heart’s electrical activity and documents your heart rhythm over a period of typically 24 hours. It is worn during normal activities, and the aim is to capture any irregularities which may be missed during an ECG. Holter monitors are useful for diagnosing intermittent or infrequent rhythm disturbances. The second device offered is a HeartBug monitor, which is a monitoring patch that records real-time electrical activity for up to 28 days. It can also be worn with regular activity, and provides even longer rhythm monitoring for diagnosis.
