Dr Kaivan Vaidya is an interventional cardiologist with an interest in coronary artery disease and cardiovascular risk assessment, who specialises in performing coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (stenting). He operates in both Sydney and regional NSW (Dubbo and Orange).
After completing his undergraduate medical degree from UNSW with Honours, he completed resident medical officer training at Prince of Wales Hospital and advanced training in Cardiology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. This was followed by a dedicated 2 year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. During this time Dr Kaivan Vaidya also obtained a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology at Sydney University.
He has published extensively in peer reviewed journals on the role of atheroinflammation in coronary artery disease, and potential pharmacological modulators of this process. Dr Kaivan Vaidya was also nominated for the prestigious Ralph Reader Prize at the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand in 2017 for his research.
